This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. It’s a shame, the original edition of this book has the most beautiful illustrations. I was hoping to avoid buying the (expensive) out of print edition. I’ll give it three stars because Mr Chapman’s writing is a pleasure to read.Product details

Not what I was hoping for. Wanted to identify birds in my yard and this was very limited without identifying pictures.
An okay book. No any means ugly but it could use more pictures.
This book is a little easier to read through than the "Handbook of Birds of Eastern North America" which is by the same author. Concise.
What's up with there being no pictures??
